Scrub Away The Winter Grime- DIY Citrus Scrub

As Featured On: AdelynStone

Welcome to Drifting Dreams! This is my cute new blog for fun crafty and cute things. As I spruce up my own home for spring, I'll be posting the DIY projects I attempt on here each week for you all to try too!

Today we're going to start with a delicious body scrub to get rid of your winter blues. I personally used lavender oil instead of the lemon since that is what I had in my kitchen. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes for you!

DIY Citrus Salt Scrub
Winter is coming to a close soon, and I'm sure your just as dry, itchy, and flaky as I am (ick) so it's about time that we get a good scrub down to gear up for all the cute sundresses in our futures!
When I saw this DIY over on adelynstone I knew it was something I had to share.

Ingredients:
1 cup of sea salt (not your typical table kind)
1/4 oil (I'm going to use olive oil. But you can use what ever kind you like)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)

Directions:
1) Mix the oil into the salt, pour as you go since you might not need all that oil
2) Add Orange zest if you'd like
3) Drip the lemon juice over the salt mix (not so it's watery)
4) Mix thoroughly and put into air tight container, it'll last at least a month. If you can keep it that long!

I'll be putting mine into a cute DIY lace mason jar like the one featured above! That'll be a post for another day :)

I can only hope that this blog is interesting enough for all of you! I plan to post a cute new DIY project every week! If you attempt the project I'd love to hear how it turned out for you in the comments. Always remember that if you are missing an ingredient or item you can always substitute it for something that you have on hand or in your home. This will not only keep the project cheap, it'll also allow it to become your own special item.
